I remember reading in the furore leading up to his retirement, that BOD holds the 6N record for turnovers, ahead of world class ballhogs like Martyn Williams and Neil Back. As for other backs, for the life of me, I can't think of a single one who comes close. Few have the same low centre of gravity, core strength and sheer disregard for their own safety as O'Driscoll. Add in a decade and a half of experience at the highest level and it'll be a long time until we see his like again.

Probably the most dangerous stepper and broken-field runner since Shane Williams retired. What a role model as well for Kolbe, who's just as small but has the potential to be even better.

The amount that this guy improves every time he steps on a pitch is phenomenal. He's learning every game and doesn't make the same mistake twice. A small guy but a remarkable athelete who's already a game-changer and just going to get better.

Tom Croft has had a niggling toe injury all week which threatened to pull him from the squad. Passed a last minute fitness test though.

He has moved his family to Cork, bought a house, his kids are in school here, he has stakes in several local businesses and he's stated that he wants to retire once he stops playing for Munster. Obviously it's not quite a contract, but it's pretty close and I don't see the management getting rid of him any time soon.

Dougie was made captain because the management wanted somebody who (a) wouldn't be called up for international duty and (b) wouldn't transfer to another club next season or so. Howlett has obviously retired from the All Blacks and more importantly has committed to Munster for the rest of his playing career. This means that unlike is previous years, Munster now has a year-round captain. There is also possibly the consideration that the coach is a kiwi.
As for "Duggy" vs "Doogy" most people do pronounce it as "duggy" but this particular commentator is Northern Irish so it's just his accent makes it sound weird.

The most complete rugby player since Gareth Edwards. Simple as.

Definite red to the letter of the law. Interesting to see the way Hewitt bounded straight up though, suggesting either that (a) there wasn't as much force in the tackle as it appeared or (b) Dafydd Hewitt is one tough muthaf*cka. Take your pick.
