Shots have been fired with this scathing new promo ahead of the three-Test series between the Wallabies and England that starts this weekend, June 11th. It features Fox Sports pundits and commentators, including former Test stars, having a full go at the RWC 2015 hosts.

Former Wallabies Greg Martin, Phil Kearns, Tim Horan and Rod Kafer weigh in as fan favourite Sean Maloney reacts to comments made by now England coach, Eddie Jones.

We don’t need to say too much more – have a look for yourself and let us know what you think.

Aussies are usually arrogant so it's great to see them humbled in the best way possible - by beating them on the field.

Kind of was mentioned before.... Also you can't blame Aus for talking about the 2015 RWC... I mean Aus losing a final isn't exactly comparable to Eng getting knocked out in the pool stages... For the record, I didn't like the video, it wasn't natural. The participants are very good with their natural banter, so for me it was even worse that it was a cringeworthy scripted attempt. SH rugby has huge bragging rights, they are/were (not sure after today) the holders of the top 3 spots in the world rankings, they're traditionally the best teams going into most matches, they're the holders of the Web Ellis trophy, the final of the 2015 was SH teams, the semi final was also SH teams, then the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in the RWC 2015 were the big 3 down south.... So you can't blame them for playing on that.... Also consider that in the SH view, the NH 6N competition was won by the biggest failures of the 2015 RWC.... so again, it doesn't say much (on face value) for NH rugby.... Of course this is all looking at the statistics and using them to suit whatever agenda you wish.... but they can be twisted in a way that doesn't look pretty...

How can anyone forget the underarm incident, when Warnie ran out of deodorant on a tour to India?

According to BBC, he's been making them watch the Bodyline series instead. I wonder whether the Aussies have been watching the underarm incident as a reposte... ;)

What a moronic promo spot. When you're English you'd better have a sense of humour, so knowing it would be unflattering, nonetheless I looked looked to opening the document. To my disappointment, those jokers were just that, a sad joke. Mind you, when something is that poor, I do hope Eddie puts in on a continuous loop in the England dressing room...

There were definitely some numbnuts blaming Burgess - as if he'd selected himself. But there were numerous media critics who'd pointed out the risks, and rightly blamed England management when their fears were realised.

Should be a very good series, litmus test surely is going to be which side can find some creative spark to break down what are tough defences. And to be fair, the Aussies seem to have the players to do that, bit more of a question against England.

What was outrageous was assuming he could become an international standard 12 in less than a year. And by outrageous, I mean, next-level stupid.

Yeah, but he copped a lot of criticism/scapegoating as if he'd individually screwed things up, where in fact I remain convinced that he made a valuable contribution to the team collective effort. It was ridiculous to single him out. (By the way, didn't mean to put those question marks above)

Australia v England, now there's a series where, as a neutral, it's rarely been easy to know who to root for. I've generally leaned Australia in the past, because I've enjoyed seeing England put in their place by a SH team. But I'm perhaps now leaning England, because I'm convinced that losing hurts Australian pride more. And I will say too, the England team under Lancaster and now Eddie Jones is easy to respect. The way they play, the way they conduct themselves off the field, it's very professional. Compared to the shitnozzles that played in the 2011 RWC, and you do not want to hear some of the off-the-record stuff about what that squad did, they've come a long way and it's a huge credit to guys like Robshaw who laid down the marker for anyone who pulled on a jersey.

It's a difficult one. England are in a position where they have to be mocked for the embarrassing RWC... I mean home nation out so early on. Especially when you consider England is one of the "big guns", so to not always harp back to that moment would be like ignoring the elephant in the room... or the irish not commenting on that BOD tackle... However, I'm sort of with the other lot that this wasn't 'banter' in the traditional sense of a bunch of rugby ex's sitting in a room having a typical Sean Maloney fuelled hyperactive waffle. It was staged (of course, well aware of that), and a bit too pre planned... Maloney et al, are not actors, they're pundits who do some of their best stuff either reciting facts, or throwing on the spot jibes at each other (or others)... so I'm not sure I can fully appreciate the commercialism side of this whole thing... Aussies have great humour and great banter, but this was just a bit to scripted for me. And of course they're going to ignore their own short comings, when it comes to taking the piss, it's best to forget that you ever fell short... not to mention that I find it hard to view the 2003 loss as a massive underachievement, and England fans cannot surely compare the 2015 RWC failure to the 2003 RWC Aus 'failure'...

Is it just me or is this banter really stale? Sean Maloney and his gang are usually good entertainment, but this seemed about as well scripted and delivered as the new Top Gear. Embarrassing...

ouch! Strange media focus really though, Fox sports is an Oz channel so Brits won't get that so it seems kinda odd to have a marketing campaign goading the English?

Touche, or a mention for the QCs in 2007. Good banter but a little weak to omit the losses and put a lot of focus on a meaningless huge victory in 1998. Jonny played in that game but is remembered for a certain other piece of rugby history made in Oz. Btw I aint no pom supporter.

Careful gents, or we'll be labelled as arrogant/whinging poms. It's all good banter, wouldn't be a Aussie/England sporting fixture without it. They have bragging rights because they DESTROYED us in front of our home crowd during our own RWC. You're only as good as your last performance and all that. I'm not remotely convinced we go into this as anything other than underdogs, but it'll be bloody good fun anyway.

I don't mind the Aussies giving us shit when they are favourite and expect to win. If we need to dig into the past and claim superiority, the 2007 rwc springs to mind. Backs to the wall brutal dominance. That's worth much more than a cricket score against our second string
