Melbourne Rising scored a clever try from a tap penalty against the Western Force in the National Rugby Championship on Saturday.

The visitors had a penalty on the opposition five-metre line and set up for a kick to touch.

However the player dummied the kick and passed the ball in-field to his forward pack, who set up a maul to power over the line and score the try.

The Force went on to win the game 38-19 at UWA Sports Park and full match highlights are available below:
