Harlequins have confirmed the signing of experienced Argentina lock Petti Pagadizábal this morning ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Pagadizábal will switch the Top 14 for the Gallagher Premiership, in a move he has described as “a new challenge.” The 87-cap international will join from Union Bordeaux-Bègles, where he made 62 appearances in 5 years.
Now 30 years old, the versatile lock, who can also play in the back row, will call upon his experience to sure up a Harlequins scrum in a very physical league. It’s worth noting that he will join fellow countryman Rodrigo Isgró in the squad – a player who has already found his feet in his short time in TW2.
“I’m excited to join Harlequins next season – it’s a club with a lot of history and a new challenge in the Gallagher Premiership,” said Pagadizábal.
“Harlequins is an ambitious club with a strong squad, which I can’t wait to join. I’ve heard a lot about the fantastic support of the club and I’m looking forward to playing in front of the supporters at The Stoop.”
“Guido’s approaching 100 caps for Argentina, which showcases his quality and ability to perform at the top level of the game. He’ll also bring valuable leadership to the group, which is a huge asset. We’re looking forward to welcoming him to the Club this summer.”
