The June internationals are now a thing of the past as the northern hemisphere now takes a break, while down south Super Rugby starts up again. Here’s a quick look at some of the best and worst from the June Tests, as put together by The Rugby Club.

As we all know by now, the top three southern hemisphere sides took a clean sweep against the challengers from the north, with all three winning their respective series’. In some cases it was a near thing though, and it’s fair to say there were more than a few scares.

Scotland, who got their tour to an incredible start with a win over an Australian team, continued their good form to go on to beat Fiji and Samoa, and actually returned home as the most successful of the northern hemisphere touring sides. Their winning celebration is of course included here, as it was one of the funniest moments of the year.

Across the board the physicality was right up there, with South Africa and England in particular smashing each other for most of their three Tests. Two of the biggest tackles, which were featured here, are included in this week’s Plays, as are a few others you may not have seen yet.

Their were dramatic wins, with Dan Carter’s drop goal against Ireland in the second Test, and Mike Harris’ last minute kick against Wales. Argentina also beat France with a late try. Unfortunately the second test, and perhaps the series, was very experimental for both of those sides, so perhaps not too much can be taken from the results.

Overall it’s been a great few weeks with some memorable moments, and we’ll continue to cover some of them that haven’t been featured yet, so if you still have requests, please do get in touch.

For now, enjoy this week’s Plays of the Week, with thanks as always to the good folk at Fox Sports.

What was your best moment or highlight of the June Tests?

2:18 - I've seen that cheerleader's arse before on another POTW. It is a joy to behold. I'm usually an atheist, but the sheer perfection of that arse makes me wonder if there is such a thing as intelligent design.

Well, your username implies that you might not be arguing this point from a wholly neutral position(!), but I agree with everything you've written. Who's the quote from at the end by the way?

  • Aaron Cruden had no right doing that offload to SBW. Who does he think he is, defying physics like that? Prick. Another good PoTW. Rugby needs more of this bias humour

Another great PotW, cheers for the upload. Are you also going to upload the 3rd Test of Australia-Wales and England-South Africa?
