The fan response has been widely positive, with many opposition fans getting behind the update, as well as fans of the Auckland based side.
Jason Hoggard said: “Not a blues fan but I’ll be getting one of these!”
Anne Garrett paid tribute to the former wearer of the 1997 shirt, Jonah Lomu, saying: “Jonah…what a superstar and so privileged to have been around at the time he was playing.”
