Dubious Score Decides Result Of Rugby's Biggest Schools Fixture

Paarl Boys High School vs Paarl Gimnasium is one of the biggest events in the international school’s rugby calendar.

The 2022 edition didn’t disappoint as Paarl Gim ran out 26 – 24 wins over Boys High.

In a fixture that featured many potential future superstars, the battle was as fierce as it has ever been between the two schools.

In the end the result was decided by this try scored by Gim as they charge down a clearance attempt from Boys High.

As the replays are being shown live there is scepticism as to whether the ball was grounded correctly.

Irrespective of the questions surrounding the score, the try was awarded and proved to be decisive.
