Christian Wade has been on one heck of a journey over the years. In what feels like a lifetime ago, the man from Slough once scored over 90 tries in the English Premiership for the now-defunct side Wasps.
Well before Louis Rees-Zammit broke Welsh hearts with his journey into the NFL, Wade took his own. The speedster started his time over in America in incredible fashion scoring a 65-metre touchdown for the Buffalo Bills in their 2019 pre-season game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Despite coming ‘all the way from England’, the NFL journey didn’t quite work out for the talented player, however, and in 2022 Wade swapped Football for Rugby once again, joining French side Racing 92. On returning to the game where he made his name, Wade has had limited playing time, but when called upon has been able to display moments of magic.
Last weekend, playing against Cardiff Blues, we can see the little magician turning Welsh hopeful Mason Grady inside out.
