England have been forced to make yet another alteration to their Six Nations squad after Nick Isiekwe was forced to withdraw through illness.
This will come as a big blow for the Saracens player who was looking to regain his place in the set up after falling out of favour prior to the World Cup.
His replacement comes in the form of Charlie Ewels who has been in fine form for Premiership side Bath this season. Ewels is an experienced member of the national side, although most recently he’s known for his early sending-off against Ireland in the 2022 Six Nations due to a collision of heads with James Ryan.
Ewels will hope to use this opportunity to force his way back into the international reckoning and forge a solid alternative to the likes of Ollie Chessum and Maro Itoje.
