England and Saracens number eight Billy Vunipola was arrested following an alleged incident at a Majorca bar over the weekend.
The 31-year-old was reportedly ‘tasered twice’ at 4.30am on Sunday morning in a bar called Epic in the town of Palma.
Per reports, the initial taser had little effect on the 6’2″ and 125kg Vunipola, who had removed his shirt and had been threatening staff and fellow bargoers.
A report in the Telegraph alleges that Vunipola “Vunipola, who weighs 20 stone, is said to have challenged officers before they managed to handcuff him. He was escorted to a nearby hospital where, according to reports, he had to be sedated and strapped to his bed. “
Vunipola has reportedly been released on bail and Spanish police have yet to comment further on the incident.
