In a thrilling Gallagher Premiership clash between Harlequins and Northampton Saints, Quins Andre Esterhuizen and Saints Courtney Lawes, engaged in an old school stand-off that reminded rugby fans of the old days.
Saints would come out on top in the clash 36 – 33 in one of the most entertaining fixtures of the weekend.
As the tension on the field reached its peak Esterhuizen, known for his powerful runs and tenacious physicality, lunged at Lawes with intensity. The Quins powerhouse is a fairly intimidating presence at the best of times but Lawes is no shrinking violet.
Matching his team’s performance, many felt Lawes came out on top of the interesting exchange between the two as he refused to flinch even an inch.
