Competition between sibling rivals hardly ever disappoints, so when they go up against eachother on the rugby field, you can sit back and grab the popcorn. Such was the case a few years ago during an ITM Cup when Damian and brother Marty McKenzie faced off.
This amazing footage has been cut together brilliantly to show the two brothers going back and forth with the boot, on the ground, and with the mouth.
More than likely, this was just an extension of what it was like almost every day in the back yard, long before either was a professional. They even have the commentators laughing at their antics, which include Damian getting away with throwing a ball directly at Marty’s head.
Sumo Stevenson with the mic was also on fine form, as always.
The pair subsequently became teammates at the Chiefs, while Damian continues his tenure as replacement fullback with the All Blacks.
