Jonny May may be known by many for his try-scoring exploits on the field, but what many don’t realise is the absolute goldmine of funny quotes he provides off the field.

Known by teammates and friends as an incredibly funny and pretty outrageous bloke, the world is only now getting to view the speedster in all his glory.

Speaking on the constantly hilarious podcast, The Good, The Bad, & The Rugby, May opened up about multiple subjects, including the reason his father-in-law ‘hates’ him, as well as posing some pretty hilarious questions surrounding a deadly snail.

Delivering quotes such as: “It’s news to me as I’ve recently been told, I should wear a pair of trousers to dinner”, and “I don’t drink very often but I got drunk at my wedding and I ****** in the pond and they’re convinced it killed all the fish”, the Gloucester star could well have a career in stand up comedy set up for him when he retires.

Fans of the show were thrilled to see what a stand up bloke May is, with one saying: “Honestly this is gold. Cannot stop rewatching the first episode and no doubt will definitely be watching and listening to this more. Had the pleasure of watching Jonny play one of his last games for England at the World Cup. Always been a massive fan of his and so glad everyone is seeing how great of a person he is!!”

Whilst another noted what a loose cannon the lad is: “Jonny May is living in a world that none of us knew existed. I could happily listen to him talk about almost any topic just to hear whats going through his head”
