Northampton Saints are in the process of thoroughly dismantling Bayonne in their Investec Champions Cup pool match.
Scoring a try in one minute, the Saints wasted no time setting the stage for a dominant performance.
Securing the bonus point inside 29 minutes, Northampton have put themselves in a perfect position to top pool 3 and, with it, secure a home play-off spot.
Locking in their second try was back row Tom Pearson, who benefitted from an otherworldly piece of athleticism from second Alex Coles.
The 6’7″ giant reacted beautifully to an awkward throw-in by Bayonne’s Argentinean international hooker Facundo Bosch to slap the ball back to Pearson.
From here, the powerhouse back row did the rest as he barged over the line.
Pearson would score moments later and are now 35 – 0 up with five minutes to play in the half.
