Players applaud honest ref for reversing bad call

Referee Alexandre Ruiz apologised to scrum half George Horne after admitting he made a mistake while officiating on Saturday.

Ruiz was in charge of the Champions Cup game between Glasgow Warriors and Sale Sharks when he gave a knock on against Horne despite his hand not touching the ball.

After help from the TMO the Frenchman apologised to Horne and reversed the decision, awarding the scrum to Glasgow.

This was Horne’s final contribution to the game before he was replaced with 10 minutes left to play and the Warriors won the game 13-7 at Scotstoun Stadium in the opening weekend of Champions Cup rugby.
