Quade Cooper has released a rather humorous tweet regarding the potential of the Saudi takeover of sport.
The recent news around Al-Hilal having offered a world record fee of £259m for French football player Kylian Mbappé has opened up a rather interesting conversation around how high these wages can get.
One player ‘hoping’ to get in on these wages is Quade Cooper. Joking about, the Aussie flyhalf questioned “Al-Hilal got a rugby team?”.

Fans were quick to support his tweet, with one person comparing him to the now Inter Miami player, Lionel Messi: “you’re the Messi of rugby, you could be offered more of what mbappe was offered”.
Others simply asked the magical playmaker to take them with him.
Mbappé is rumoured to be offered £600m per year, which works out at roughly £1.6m per day…more than the highest paid rugby player, Handre Pollard, receives per year.
