Referees are generally well respected in Rugby, and that’s part of what can set the game apart from other team sports. Sometimes, however, certain players can get a bit overzealous with their chat during a match, which can invoke some pretty hilarious scenes, as displayed in this clip:

Putting the scrum half well and truly in his place, the referee started with:
“You, come here, shut up and come here. One more word out of you and I’m just going to send you to the bin. Because do you know what you could be? A good ref with the knowledge you reckon you’ve got. Get back there, shut up and carry on.”
The clip has done the rounds on social media, with many fans expressing their admiration for the official.
Following this another clip emerged of the referee saying he was “giving up my Sunday refereeing you clowns”.
