Wallabies prop Taniela ‘Tongan Thor’ Tupou completely bottled a swan dive during Saturday’s Super Rugby AU match against Melbourne Rebels.
The Reds tighthead was given a clear run to the line from 20 metres out thanks to the footwork of James O’Connor and as Tupou approached the line he looked set to dive in spectacular fashion.
However just at the very last second the 135kg prop decided otherwise and placed his foot to cushion the fall as he scored his second try of the match, helping the Reds to a 19-44 win in Melbourne.

The 24-year-old has bagged three tries for the Wallabies in 25 games having earned his first Test match cap for Australia in 2017 and has a reputation for his huge hits and powerful ball carrying ability for both club and country.
