WATCH: Embarrassing blunder in Japanese Top League is nothing but hilarious

Shogo Nakano suffered one of the most embarrassing moments you’re likely to see on a rugby pitch during a Japanese Top League game on Sunday.

The Suntory Sungoliath winger was clean through against Toyota Verblitz after a lovely-worked move down the left touchline to score what looked like a guaranteed try for the hosts.

However Verblitz full back Will Tupou, who was the final defender, shocked everyone in the stadium by driving Nakano back over the line to incredibly deny what looked a certain try.

Tupou’s strength was more than impressive and must have left Nakano embarrassed in front of his home fans. However despite this blunder, Suntory went on to win the game 50-8 and full match highlights are available below:
