Although France were not at their best against Australia, they still ran out 30-29 winners in a thrilling match, in part due to a moment of individual brilliance from Penaud.
The French flyer was handed the ball just outside the Wallabies 22 and still had three defenders to beat.
With the odds against him, the winger put his foot down and showed a brilliant mix of power and pace to not only get past the defence but add the cherry on the cake and score in the corner.
It seemed apt that this was the winning score – in keeping with the game’s brilliant tries after Australia’s coast to coast effort.
Wow. Just wow. 👏

It may have not been a vintage performance but the world cup favourites will be extremely happy that they got their Autumn International campaign started with a win – which is more than what most of the Northern Hemisphere sides could manage!
