Springboks star Cheslin Kolbe escaped punishment for a potential high tackle on Tom Curry during Saturday’s Test match against the British & Irish Lions in Cape Town.
The Toulouse winger rushed up in defence and made a challenge on Curry in the 15th minute of the game which appeared be head-on-head, but was not picked up by the officials.
Kolbe lucky again…? pic.twitter.com/P9vhi6echT

Kolbe bounced off the tackle and was left on his knees with a bleeding nose, yet many fans and pundits believe it would have been considered foul play in the northern hemisphere.
This tackle came just a few minutes before Kolbe was sent to the sin bin for taking out Conor Murray in the air, making the speedster lucky to finish the game at the DHL Stadium.

I may be biased (ok, I am!) but Kolbe should have had red for the head into Curry’s face, then another red for taking Murray out in the air. And Faf should have had at least a yellow for his ‘tackle’ on Murray.

I’m keen to chat further about the Kolbe yellow card as well as the Kolbe v Curry hit.

Kolbe gets a smash in the nozzle from his high tackle on Curry and and badly mistimes his tackle on Curry minutes later. Should he have had an HIA?

If Curry had tackled Kolbe like that it would be red 🤣🤣😊 #LionsRugby

If Curry tackled Kolbe and there was a head clash like that, Curry would most likely be off the field…

Should have been binned for his hit on Curry.
Will be carded for this Murray hit.
But Curry could be for his actions.
