Steve Hansen has earmarked Scotland’s Adam Hastings and Wales’ Rhys Patchell to feature in the backline of the World XV team for their clash with the Barbarians in May.
The World XV is also set to include rugby superstars Marika Koroibete, Semi Radradra, Joe Launchbury, Danilo Fischetti, Simone Ferrari Lorenzo Cannone, Nick Phipps and Charles Piutau.
Barbarians coach Eddie Jones has reportedly secured the services of Steven Luatua to strengthen their forward pack, as well as a number of his former players, including Danny Care, Dan Cole, Joe Marler, Jonny May, Jack Nowell, and Sam Simmonds. Welsh players Alun Wyn Jones and Taulupe Faletau are also due to join the side, alongside South Africa’s Andre Esterhuizen.
The match is set to take place at Twickenham on Sunday, 28 May.
