117kg prop scores the try every front-rower dreams off in South African friendly

Sharks replacement prop Ntuthuko Mchunu produced an incredible 50-metre solo try against the Lions on Saturday to almost singlehandedly win the match.

The 117kg front-rower received the ball at pace and charged straight through a hole in the defensive line, before beating the final two defenders to score a brilliant try in the dying minutes of the game.

This was Mchunu’s second try of the game having come off the bench and although the conversion brought the scores level, the Lions snatched a late win through a penalty kick slotted by Entienne Swanepoel.
