Poor discipline helped Stade Francais claim a 32-10 bonus point victory over Montpellier on Saturday. Prop Gregory Fichten was given a red card after throwing a punch that sent Stade fly half Nicolas Sanchez sprawling to the ground.
Sanchez was involved in a tackle with about five minutes remaining in the first half when Fichten arrived for the clear-out and punch. Another angle showed Fichten indeed connected with a forearm to the face.

To be fair, Sanchez has a penchant for making a general nuisance of himself, sometimes even toeing the line where play-acting is concerned.
That being said, the punch looks to have struck home and caught him unawares, even snapping his head back.
Match officials were quickly on top of things and sent off the big front rower.
