South Africa have beaten Wales 23-19 in an incredibly tense first Quarter Final of the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Trailing 13-12 at the break following a brilliant Dan Biggar try assist and late dropgoal.

Tthe Springboks carried the ball for large parts of the match, wearing down a courageous Wales team – who at no stage seemed to be worn down – before scoring a sensational late try through skipper Fourie du Preez, who was fed with a perfect flick pass by Duane Vermeulen.

The 1995 and 2007 winners will face the winners of New Zealand vs France, that kicks off in Cardiff later tonight, in the Semi Final.

I couldn't watch. I just knew it would be a close game, Wales are an incredibly tough side, but goodness what would we do without Duane Vermeulen. At least there's no pressure next weekend.

What a match! Well done to the Boks! You can say what about Dan Biggar's kicking style, he is just annoyingly accurate! Well done to the Welsh for their awesome performance too!

Man, that was almost too much for me. 80 minutes of non-stop stress. Will be watching replays of that Fourie du Preez try for many years to come. Got to hand it to Wales - they really pitched up for this game.
