Stormers winger puts in Kolbe-esque performance to set up dramatic Rainbow Cup win

Stormers winger Edwill van der Merwe put in a brilliant final 15 minute performance against the Lions during Saturday’s epic Rainbow Cup clash in Johannesburg.

The 25-year-old scored a wonderful individual try on the hour mark at Ellis Park Stadium from 60-metres out before setting up another late score with a beautiful offload.

Van der Merwe’s moments of inspiration in the final quarter of the match helped the Stormers to a dramatic 37-39 win with the final kick of the match. Full match highlights are available below:
