Toulouse run the length to score awesome late try in Top 14 classic

Toulouse scored a wonderful 98-metre try against Castres in Saturday’s Top 14 clash in round 21 of the French domestic league.

Winger Maxime Marty kick started the counter attack following a turnover virtually on their own try line and the Frenchman beat his opposite man before charging down the touchline towards halfway.

Marty then gave a cute backdoor pass to Baptiste Germain, who linked up nicely with Romain Riguet down the left hand side of the pitch before the decisive pass was made to full back Matthis Lebel, who stepped inside to score under the posts.

Despite the brilliance of this 76th minute score by the visitors, it was Castres who took a 26-24 win at Stade Pierre Fabre.
