VINE: Fight for ball results in US College rugby player slammed

So this happened. Mouse over and hit the volume icon for the full WWE effect. It’s not clear what exactly is going on here, but one player gets dumped to the turf as both fight for the ball. The ref isn’t too pleased, and the powerhouse doing the lifting is just as surprised.

It goes without saying that the audio is edited, if you weren’t sure.

It’s the University of California vs the University of Pennsylvania, and Kutztown’s Bilal Hassen is the guy doing the lifting, while Cal’s Paul Bosco got slammed. Hassen received a yellow card, and Cal went on to win the Collegiate Rugby Championship 17-12 in overtime.
