The big news in the Top 14 today is that Racing Metro have signed French captain Lionel Nallet and the Caveman himself, Sbastien Chabal. Racing Metro have just been promoted to the Top 14, so are going on a spending spree in preparation for next season.
They already have the services of former All Black star Andrew Mehrtens, so will look to extend his contract, as well as bring in other big names, including a rumoured signing of Springbok Francois Steyn.
The Top 14 has featured many big name signings this season, some of which have failed to deliver on all the hype that was created. Others have gradually lifted their game, and are going well in France.
The pick of tries from Round 22 though come mainly from French players, which is nice to see.
While not the best package we’ve seen, it’s still enjoyable and we know that many of you like to get your serving of the Top 14 every now and then. Enjoy.
