Munster Rugby leads the DHL Stormers 12 – 7 at halftime in the URC Final at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town.
Enjoying 70% possession in the first half, Munster was thoroughly on top despite having two tries disallowed by the TMO.
Trailing 7 – 5 following an opening intercept try from Stormers’ flyhalf Manie Libbok which Munster responded to via a Diarmuid Barron maul try. Munster would take the lead following a moment of magic from man of the hour Jack Crowley.
Building on his remarkable match-winning drop goal in the semi-final, Crowley has pulled the strings beautifully throughout the contest.
Clearly identifying a weakness in the Stormers’ defence, Crowley called for the ball and executed a pinpoint crossfield kick for Calvin Nash to score.
Crowley would convert to put the visitors five points clear.
