Sneaky scrum half try helps Reds to historic win in Super Rugby AU opener

Reds scrum half Tate McDermott scored a cheeky try on Friday to help beat the Waratahs for the first time since 2013.

The 21-year-old caught out the Waratahs with a quick penalty in the first half to score their third try of the match at Suncorp Stadium.

This try helped the Reds to a 32-26 win over the Tahs in the opening game of Super Rugby AU and it was two late penalty kicks from fly half James O’Connor which sealed the victory.
