Sedbergh School scrum half James Naylor scored a sensational individual try against Wellington in the Daily Mail Trophy on Wednesday night.

Naylor spotted a gap on the edges of a ruck and made a clean break down the middle of the field. The youngster gassed his opposite number before stepping the full back to complete a wonderful 60-metre score.

The try came with five minutes left on the clock and extended Sedbergh’s lead to 12 points following a successful conversion and the Cumbrian side went on to win the game 22-10.

Sedbergh now sit second in the merit table behind Cranleigh having won eight from eight in the competition and they’ve now won seven of the past 10 games against Wellington.
