The All Blacks all but secured the Tri Nations trophy as they beat the Wallabies 20-10 in a hard fought victory earlier today in Christchuch. The win means that they retain the Bledisloe Cup.
Mils Muliaina scored the opening try after a great sequence of play that seemed to go on for ages without a break. Eventually it was some slick play from the backs that resulted in the try.
As with last week, there was a hit back try almost instantly as Kurtley Beale took advantage of a Dan Carter error to run away untouched for a nice opportunist try. Conrad Smith later scored for the All Blacks, with Dan Carter adding two penalties.
This now the ninth successive win for the All Blacks over the Wallabies, matching their worst ever losing streak against the trans-Tasman rivals. Between 1936 and 1947, they also lost nine tests.
The All Blacks now need just one more point in their remaining two games against South Africa to add to their 19 which will secure the
Tri Nations
title, which will be their fifth in six years.
Australia are on four points, and the title holding Springboks, who are yet to play a home game, sit at the bottom of the table with no points to their name. If you were

The good news is that there were no yellow cards issued, and referee Jonathan Kaplan kept a far lower profile than we have seen from officials in previous weeks, which was great.
